Chowara: I had been to many exhibitions of paintings on Blessed Virgin Mary. In all the exhibitions I had come across different paintings on Mother Mary, the countries of its origin etc. But the exhibition at Chowara, NS Bhavan was a new kind where the meaning and the spirituality of the Icon are explained. It was an experience of a pilgrimage to visit the exhibition. The explanation of the icon part by part namely Mother’s hand, the face of Our Lady, Mary’s mouth, Her eyes, Our Lady’s hand, Our Lady’s veil, Christ’s hands, His look and the letters on the Icon etc. created an experience of pilgrimage for all the faithful. It is a wonderful achievement of the Redemptorist fathers. Their aim is to deepen the knowledge and inner understanding of the icon and the spirituality associated with the Icon. We very are grateful to the Redemptorist fathers and the Nithya Sahaya Bhavan for arranging this exhibition.
