Thursday, Jan 5, 2017 was a milestone for the Redemptorists of the Liguori Province.   Bros. Manu Thomas Naduvilekizhakkel, Justin Kurian Mannancheril, Joe Paul Poulose Pullan,   Jinto Ittoop Mundackal and Akhil Jose Thalachira made their first profession of religious commitment  at Liguori Bhavan. They had  a year of intense preparation and contemplative prayer at the Redemptorists Novitiate, Neumann Sadan, Kunnambetta.    They professed their vows as Redemptorists (vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience and the oath of perseverance) in the presence of their parents, relatives and confreres. The liturgical celebration began with Holy Qurbana by Fr. Joy Poonoly the provincial superior of the Liguroi Province. Fr. Shiju M. gave an inspiring homily. In the homily he pointed out to reflect the funding charism and community life of St. Alphonsus the founder. As professed brothers, they will now do their pre-phoosphy studies at N.S. Bhavan.  “Community life is one of the blessings of being a Redemptorist said one of the novices after the profession. “I cherished the fathers, and brothers that made up our community  for the support and challenge they gave me as a Redemptorist.  We participated in the Holy Qurbana and prayed together. We studied, worked and argued together. We laughed often and cried sometimes. We asked pardon of each other.  We generally enjoyed each other’s company.” Another said: “I am very happy and proud now to be a Redemptorist.”
