It was indeed an enriching experience for us as formators. The Seminar was focused on helping us to understand the formatees better and to guide them through the Redemptorist way of life. Fr. Tomy defined about different personality styles and disorders we might meet in our day to day life as formators. This gave us the awareness and better know-how to tackle various situations during our formation days. He emphasized how different and unique each one of the formatees could be. He presented in greater depth the complexity of modern age children and the challenges they face. The majority of them go through loneliness and this indirectly affects the formation in terms of spiritual, psychological and mental relationships. The children of this age depend more on the cyber world and thus could be influenced.

As formator’s he shared that we ought to remember that:

    1. Utmost care ought to be given in our relationships with the formatees,

    2. To help them find and maintain good self esteem

    3. Create a positive attitude towards their bodies.

    4. To take pride of our roots and family backgrounds.
