My Dream as a Redemptorist

As per my thinking dreams are expectations about the future, which can be fulfilled later in our life. So as a person I had dreams to become a priest from my childhood onwards. I didn’t know about the difference between a religious priest and a diocesan. It was my dream to do something for the people. As a Redemptorist missionary all are called to be saints; so the first priority is to lead a holy life. Secondly, be available for the people as I can for their spiritual needs. Deep in my heart I have a dream to work for the children. That desire became very strong when I was doing my regency in a boys’ hostel. Children are the future of the society and we can make a lot of changes in the society, if we concentrate on them. In the modern society, midst of many family problems, children may become lonely, will become addicted to different social evils. They may become addicted to mobile phones; computers, etc. So it is time to concentrate and work for family revival and renewal and give children right orientation for their future. As Redemptorists, our approach towards children is different and it expressed by the children when we go for programs in schools and colleges. So I pray that it may be continued and become a part of this mission.
