Thank you for your shepherding and leading on the upward path, for prayerful concern, visitation and your caring from the heart”. These are the thoughts that come to my mind when I recall the visit of our beloved Provincial Fr. Joy Poonoly. We were very happy to be with our Provincial in Vienna from 9th to 15th September. He arrived in Vienna on 9th evening.
During his visit he met Fr. Alphonse, Provincial of Vienna-Munich Province, Bishop of Eissenstadt, where Frs. Kuruvila and Jomon are working at present.
He also visited all the four parishes, and a few of the parishioners. On 12th Saturday and 13thSunday, we concelebrated Holy Mass in different parishes.The Provincial also participated in one of the Strassen Fests and in the birthday celebrations of a parishioner. It was a very wonderful and different experience for both Fr. Joy and for the parishioners.
The Provincial met each one of us for personal sharing and to listen to our concerns. He visited some of the important places in Vienna. Fr. Lorance Voith, former Provincial and present Rector of St. Clement Cloister in Hernals, was very hospitable to us. He invited us for a dinner out. Fr. Joy left Vienna on Sep. 15th morning, taking back with him a lot of new and memorable experiences.
