The Redemptorist community at Hernals celebrated a Tridum on 14, 15, 16 of March in preparation for the feast of St. Clement, during the 150th anniversary of the Icon of The Mother of Perpetual Help being entrusted to us, the Redemptorists. The second day of Tridum was called the International Day for the Parish; a day celebrated and dedicated to remember and appreciate the great contributions made by the Indians and those of other nationalities. 14.3.-p.joy-predigt-I was privileged to preside over the Eucharistic celebration and preach the sermon during this occasion. There were fifteen priests including Frs. Kuruvila, Jomon, Jacob and myself. Two hundred people participated in the Holy Mass including nuns from the Generalate of the Congregation of the Queen of the Apostles. They led the choir and the songs for the Holy Mass were sung in Hindi. As I said, it was indeed a wonderful occasion to acknowledge and remember the cultural differences and the contributions made by different communities. An Indian dinner was served after the Holy Mass (Fried Rice, Chicken, Pappad and salad) prepared by Frs. Jacob, Kuruvila, Jomon, two nuns and the volunteers from the parish. A big thanks to Fr. Lorenz Voith and the community at Hernals for organizing such a wonderful event to remember and pray for the people of other nationalities.
