“No matter what you’re going through, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel and it mayjoe-2 seem hard to get to it but you can do it and just keep working towards it and you’ll find the positive side of things.” These words of Fr. Joe gave me a rejuvenated energy to live my consecrated life. These days of retreat give rise to a desire to converse with God. This conversation takes many forms: Silence, reflection, adoration, contrition, thanksgiving and supplication. With Fr. Joe, these days of retreat are formal or informal and involve both speaking and listening. Retreats provide an opportunity to listen, reflect and encourage one another to pray. This retreat helped us to cultivate the growth of the whole person: spiritual, emotional, psychological, and physical. The psychological well being of participants was fostered by maintaining a balance of silence, reflection, sharing and new resolution. These days of retreat provided for us a Faith growth, Moral growth, Psychological growth, Intellectual growth and Social growth. The music and the prayer sessions led each one of us to a divine experience. The Sacrament of Confession was a great healing for many of us.
