A new “engine” has been made under the able guidance of Fr. Wilson T. and blessed on 3 Oct at 11.30 by Fr. Joy Poonoly the Provincial superior in the presence of many confreres, Religious Sisters and Friends. There was a solemn Qurbana at the new altar, followed by the blessing of the chapel. The chapel is the ultimate “engine” that makes St. Gerard Monastery a graceful place. It had been a long dream of the community to have a chapel for the community apart from the chapel that has been used as parish church. This is a place of faith, a place of love, a place of hospitality, for the community, which illuminates the whole community.” Two rooms were also constructed and blessed on the same day.
