The International Pilgrim of the Icon of Mother of Perpetual Help blessed by Holy Father Pope Francis and commissioned to serve as the World Pilgrimage was in our Provinial house from 23-25 of November. After the community prayer we had a Solemn Holy Qurbanba in the evening by Fr. Antony Mankuriyil, the Parish Priest of St. Antony’s Church Mattoor. He said during the homily “We are expecting hundreds of faithful to come to visualize this most cherished Icon of the Holy Mother Mary,” It was a great tridum for us and the faithful around. The final day we had Solemn Holy Qurbana, by Fr. Shinto and homily by Fr. Nithin. There was Novena followed by the Qurbana and Procession with the Icon. People flocked before the Icon to ask the intercession of Mother of Perpetual Help. The Icon was taken to the Parish Church for veneration on the following day. We had arranged an exhibition in the Parish Church. One devotee said “We are so amazed to see the reflection and interpretation of Mother of Perpetual Help because it is more and deeper than we see in the image”.
