The academic inauguration at Santhome Minor Seminary was inaugurated on 19th June, 2019 for the academic year of 2019-20. The event was presided by our beloved Provincial Rev. Fr. Biju Madathikunnel C.Ss.R. We had the Solemn Holy Qurbana at 5 pm in our chapel. The inauguration ceremony started with the prayer song. Fr. Bijo Meppurathu, the Director of Students, delivered the cordial welcome address. The Provincial gave the inaugural address followed by the lighting of the lamp ceremony. He motivated the students through his powerful words of encouragement. Fr. Poulose, the Vicar Provincial delivered a felicitation. He described and explained the importance of various challenges and experiences related to the academic year. Fr. Rijo Kunnamkottu, the Rector, pointed out the importance of team work and hard work. Professor George Joseph encouraged the students through his words. Furthermore, there was a cultural programme organized by our students. The Provincial released the Handbook for the new academic year. The presence of the new Higher Secondary teachers brought greater joy to the event. Fr. Bijo Vallikkattu gave the vote of thanks. He thanked Fr. Biju M., the Provincial, Fr. Poulose T., the Vicar Provincial for gracing the occasion with their solemn presence and also to all those who were invited. We had a fellowship dinner arranged after the programme. It was indeed a joyful event.
